Passenger of Gajayana Train Falls, Here's the Cause

(Yogyakarta, DIY) - A passenger of the Gajayana train, identified as AH, a 37-year-old man from Mojorejo, Ponorogo, fell from the train he was riding on. The incident occurred on Saturday (1/2) at around 20:16 WIB.

According to AKP Sujarwo, the Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Police, the victim fell from the train while it was passing through the Kewek, Tukangan, Tegal Panggung, Danurejan area in Yogyakarta City. At the time, the victim was riding the Gajayana train.

"Yes, on Saturday (1/1) at 20:16 WIB, a passenger of the Gajayana train fell from the train at km 166+4 of the Kewek bridge, LPN-YK section. Information from the train crew stated that someone had fallen from the Gajayana train at the Kewek bridge," he added.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to his right shoulder and a broken left leg. The train accident occurred because the victim panicked, thinking that the train carriage he was in had already passed the station, and tried to get off the train, resulting in him falling from the train.

"It is suspected that the victim panicked because he thought the train carriage he was in had already passed the station," he said.

The authorities immediately conducted an investigation into the incident at the Kewek, Tukangan, Tegal Panggung, Danurejan area in Yogyakarta. The victim was then taken to the hospital.

"The victim was taken to Panti Rapih Hospital for further medical treatment," he concluded. (Raya Sanjiwani)
